| Walk from the car park to the tarmac road, cross to the footpath/cycleway and turn left. After 100 yards look left for a track just before the first house (an attractive cottage from the time of the Gogerddan Estate)..Walk up the track, through the builder's yard, for about 400 yards until you come to two gates in the hedge ahead. |

| Go through the right hand gate. keeping the hedge to your left, ascend the 150 yards up the steep slope , passing a large windblown tree (as at October 2020), look for the corner of the woodland and a stile which may be inconspicuous behind a crab appple tree and hawthorn. |

| Cross the stile and turn right to walk 250 yards along the path through the woods until you come to a stile at a woodland corner which takes you out to a field. |

| Cross the stile and walk along the woodlandend edge of the field, keeping to the fence on your left; continue along the edge of the woodland. After 500 yards, after crossing a first stile you will arrive at a second stile at the corner of the woodland. |

| Go over the stile and turn left along the woodland edge, almost immediately crossing another stile. Keeping the fence to your left proceed 500 yards downhill over another two stiles and as the hill flattens out you will arrive at a third stile in a hedge at the left hand corner of the field. |

| Cross the stile and walk between fence and what is now a stream to emerge on a road which serves a housing estate. Turn right along the road and in 40 yards, near the first lamp post on the left, look for a narrow hedged path going slightly downhill. Follow this path down to the main road. |

| Taking around half a mile, turn left to walk along the pavement of the road. Pass the Welsh Black tavern, an appropriate refreshment stop; , then opposite the new station car park keep left at the junction to walk back along a new path/cycleway to arrive at the car park. |

| Immediately after the stone turn right on to another track. Walk along it for about 750 yards (do not be attracted by any path going right) until you are about 30 yards short of the river ahead (Afon Stewi). |

| Thirty yards short of the river look for a footpath branching left. Follow this footpath (can be a bit muddy) to a junction with a track, turn right on to the track and follow it over the footbridge, past the picnic tables on your left, to the carpark. |
